| If you have an MA from elsewhere |
|
Graduate Advising If you already have an MA in Linguistics, you will not want another one from us; but you must take the 4 phonology and syntax courses (200A, 201A, 200B, 201B) required for our MA (no exceptions, no matter what or how many courses you've already had elsewhere), and you must take, or have taken the equivalent of the other 2 required courses and the 3 elective courses. The department (usually the new student adviser, sometimes in consultation with relevant faculty) decides what is "equivalent". |
