All students should apply for as many funding opportunities as they are eligible, for many reasons:

-- Fellowships are terrific for your CV.

-- Fellowship funding permits you to spend more of your time on research and study (without needing to, say, TA).

-- Some fellowships come with funding to support additional research activities (for example, Grad Division’s Dissertation Year Fellowship includes a $500 research allowance).

Below are fellowships graduate students may be interested in. The department is looking to constantly update and improve this list, so please let us know if there are opportunities that should be listed, or if any information is out of date.
