Reaching the UCLA Linguistics Department by Bus

Although Los Angeles is famous for its car culture, it is feasible to reach UCLA on public transportation, and a fair proportion of our department community commutes by bus.  There are four different bus systems that serve UCLA.  

• City of Santa Monica Bus Lines  
• Culver City Bus Lines
• Los Angeles County Buses (MTA)  
• Los Angeles City Buses (LADOT)

Getting from the bus stops to the Department

Check with your driver which terminal your bus stops at, and follow the appropriate map below.

If it's the Hilgard Avenue terminal, follow this map.

If it's the Ackerman Union terminal, follow this map.

The Linguistics Department office is in Campbell 3125.   You may also find it useful to print yourself a copy of the campus map (pdf format)
