This past quarter we’ve enjoyed a terrific series of colloquium talks by seven finishing Ph.D. students – an unusually high number of student talks in a single quarter. Many thanks, and congratulations, to Jianjing Kuang, Thomas Graf, Jamie White, Grace Kuo, Jason Bishop, Marc Garellek, and Nancy Ward Finifter. The festivities culminated yesterday (12 June) with the department’s doctoral reception and the university’s Doctoral Hooding Ceremony.
Finishing students received their doctoral hoods on-stage in Royce Hall as proud faculty advisors, committee members, parents, family and friends looked on!
