Welcome to new Postdoctoral Fellows

The department is delighted to welcome two postdocs this summer: Dr. Vahideh Rasekhi, the first recipient of the Elahé Omidyar Mir-Djalali Postdoctoral Fellowship in Iranian Linguistics, and Dr. Matt Faytak, a phonetician working under new chair Pat Keating’s supervision. Huge UCLA LPL presence at CUNY 2017

Several members of the UCLA Language Processing Lab gave presentations at the 2017 CUNY Conference on Human Language Processing at MIT last month, including John Gluckman, Jesse Harris, Marju Kaps, Stephanie Rich, and Ian Rigby. Topics ranged from eye-movement studies of sluicing to the processing of disjunction and garden path sentences.

UCLA Phoneticians at ICPhS 2015 in Glasgow
