This past weekend, local West LA children’s books store, Children’s Book World, held a book signing for our very own second-year graduate student Eleanor Glewwe. Eleanor’s first young adults book, Sparkers, was recently published by Viking Press (a subsidiary of the Penguin Group). This is the second book signing/launch event for this book, the first being one in Eleanor’s home town of Minneapolis, Minnesota over the summer. The event was very well-attended by both linguists and non-linguists. For those looking for a holiday gift for a young adult, this book comes highly recommended!
