The department is thrilled to announce a pledge by the Bohne and Bye Trust for a $2,000,000 gift to establish and support a Linguistics Laboratory Program. The eventual gift will help fund staff, research assistants, equipment, and research in the department’s labs. In the meantime, university matching funds of $500,000 will establish the Thomas J. Bye Laboratory Innovation Fund and the Thomas J. Bye Laboratory Research Fund. Income from these Funds will be used primarily to “support the laboratory program in ways which enhance graduate student research”.
