We are excited to announce that Claire Moore-Cantwell (UMass 2016) and Ethan Poole (UMass 2017) have accepted our offers, and will join our faculty as of July 2019. Claire’s research is on probabilistic patterns in phonology, using ERP and behavioral experiments and computational modeling. Ethan’s research is in syntax, semantics, and their interface, especially movement dependencies and case. In Fall quarter, Claire will be teaching graduate Experimental Phonology, while Ethan will be teaching graduate Syntax I. We look forward to having both of them as our colleagues!
