A little old news: The 21st Annual Meeting of the Austronesian Formal Linguistics Association took place a couple of weeks ago at the University of Hawaii, Manoa. UCLA’s Kie Zuraw presented both an invited talk and a co-authored paper. Ed Keenan also presented a paper. The titles of the talks can be found below:
Kie Zuraw (invited talk): “Beyond Trochaic Shortening”
Stephanie Shih (UC Berkeley) & Kie Zuraw: “Predicting variable adjective-noun word order in Tagalog”
Edward Keenan & Baholy Ralalaoherivony (Universite d’Antananarivo): “Correlational comparatives in Malagasy”
